About 1,800 Pakistani citizens in Uttar Pradesh who have come to India on different types of visas will now have to go back to Pakistan. This step was taken by the central government after the Pahalgam attack. Visas of all Pakistani citizens have been canceled. According to senior police, if they stay here even after the deadline, then laws will be taken against them. Some Pakistanis are going back on their own.

CAA applicants are not included in this count

Officials have clarified that the data of those who have applied for Indian citizenship under the Citizenship Amendment Act is not included in this figure.

Police action ready, DGP’s statement

UP Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar said: “Till now we have not received any formal written order, but necessary directives have been given to district police chiefs.”

Police and intelligence are collecting details of Pakistani citizens. Police officer told that: 35 citizens are currently staying in Bareilly, 30 in Rampur, 18 in Bulandshar, 10 in Varanasi.

Visa Overstay and Fake Identity Matter

According to reports, many Pakistani Muslims came here through close relations of families. And some stay in India even after visa expires – either by changing their identity or secretly. Due to legal loopholes, many times police is unable to take action. But now the situation is different – ​​there is a direct order from the center.

According to reports, Pakistani citizens enter India illegally through Nepal without visa. While the number of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants is much more than them. Some people even get Indian ID documents made, which makes it difficult to identify them.
