Baba Saheb Ambedkar – A Glance
Baba Saheb was born on 14 April 1891, in a Dalit family, he faced a lot of discrimination (Bhed-Bhav) since childhood. Baba Saheb was a brilliant student who received education from foreign countries and became the first Law Minister of India. His great contribution was as the main architect of the Indian Constitution. He died in 1956.
His life was dedicated to social reform – Baba Saheb always worked for the empowerment of the Scheduled Castes. His fight against discrimination gave a new perspective to the society.
What do we learn?
Dr. Ambedkar has taught us that education is the greatest scripture. Without equality, society cannot progress and the Constitution is not just a book, it is a living vision.
Even today his vision inspires all of us to create such an India where everyone has the right to equality – regardless of caste, money or background.
