Heat wave in Delhi: IMD issued yellow alert for heatwave|

People of Delhi, get ready. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alert for 24 to 26 April. There are chances of severe heatwave in Delhi. Temperatures are expected to be between 41°C and 43°C, which is generally 2-4°C higher than normal.
Mercury is rising
There was a mild relief on Tuesday when the maximum temperature was 39.9°C, but the heat graph is going to rise again from Wednesday. Monday was the hottest day of this season when the temperature reached 41.3°C. And the minimum temperature was 20.9°C on Tuesday.
IMD says: “Maximum temperature may increase by 2-3°C in the next five days. Heat will remain at its peak from Thursday to Saturday.”
Health Alert: Safety is most important
IMD has advised people to be cautious, especially for children, elderly and people suffering from chronic illnesses, this heat can be even more dangerous.
Avoid direct sunlight, stay hydrated, use water, lemon water, eyes and cap or umbrella whenever you go out. From April 7 to 9, Delhi experienced a three-day heatwave, when the temperature at Safdarjung station was above 40°C every day.

It is difficult for us to breathe – AQI in Poor Category
Along with the heat, the air is also not clean. On Tuesday, Delhi’s AQI was 227, which falls in the “Poor” category. On Monday, it was 205. IMD says that the AQI is expected to remain like this till April 25.
