How Producer Kalanithi Maran Extended His Congratulations to Dhanush for the Success of Raayan

Dhanush’s second directorial film, Raayan, which also featured him in the lead role, premiered on July 26. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film proved to be a box office hit, grossing Rs 158 crore. It achieved notable milestones as the highest-grossing A-rated Tamil film ever and the top-grossing Tamil film of the year. Additionally, Raayan marked Dhanush’s 50th film as an actor.

Kalanithi Maran, the producer of Raayan under his Sun Pictures banner, recently congratulated Dhanush for the film’s remarkable commercial success. Maran personally met Dhanush and presented him with two cheques as a gesture of appreciation. Sun Pictures’ official account shared a photo of the moment, captioned: “Mr. Kalanithi Maran congratulated Dhanush on the grand success of Raayan and gifted him two cheques—one for his role as the hero and one for his direction.”
