Breaking: Delhi HC stays release of Vikram starrer ‘Veera Dheera Dooran’!

Big news: Delhi Hight Court has postponed the release of Chiyaan Vikram’s upcoming Tamil film “Veera Dheera Sooran” for 4 weeks. The film was going to release today (27 March), but this decision was taken due to legal battle between producer and rights holder.

Court’s Order:
Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora stayed the release of the film for 4 weeks
Reason: HR Pictures (producer) did not give required documents to Lavy Entertainment
Rs. 51 crore rights deal. 7 crore was pending

Conditions of the agreement:
HR Pictures had to deliver documents to Lvy Entertainment 14 days ago
CBFC Certificate (Tamil version) was received on 22 March – very late!
Materials were not given for dubbing and Hindi release
Money matter:
Lvy had already received Rs. 44 crore
Ready to pay Rs. 7 crore balance within 24 hours after court order
Court’s Sterm Message:
“Producer did not follow the conditions of the agreement”
“Releasing without delivering documents is a breach of contract”
“Lvy should pay the balance amount, producer will have to supply materials within 48 hours”
