When will Eid ul Fitr 2025 be celebrated across the world?
Eid ul Fitr 2025 in India
In India it can be on 30 March or 31 March. According to the holiday calendar of the central government, 31 March (Monday) is a gazetted holiday. But, the final confirmation will be done only after sighting the moon.
Eid 2025 in UAE
In UAE, Emirates Astronomy Society says that 30 days of Ramzan will be complete, and Eid will be celebrated on 31 March (Monday). According to Gulf News, there will be a holiday of 3 days from Shawwal 1 to 3. If Ramzan is of 30 days, then one extra day holiday can also be given.
Eid 2025 in Saudi Arabia
Eid can be on 30 or 31 March in Saudi Arabia. The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has appealed to the people to see the moon on the evening of 30 March (Saturday). If the moon is seen on Saturday, then Eid will be on Sunday, 30 March, otherwise it will be confirmed on Monday, 31 March.
Eid 2025 in Kuwait
In Kuwait, the moon is expected to be visible on 29 March, so Eid can be on 30 March. If Eid is on 30 March, then there will be a 3-day holiday, and if it is on 31 March, then there can be a holiday of up to 9 days.

In Pakistan and Bangladesh, Ramzan starts one day later than the Middle East, so there is a possibility of Eid on 31 March (Monday). If the moon is visible on 30 March, then Eid will be on 31 March, otherwise it will be celebrated on 1 April (Tuesday).

People in USA, UK, France and Germany will either wait for local moon sighting reports or follow the announcement of Saudi Arabia. The final date of Eid will be confirmed after sighting the moon after Maghrib.
