Irfan Pathan sends birthday greetings to former cricketer Yuvraj Singh.
Former cricketer Irfan Pathan, through his social media, wished former team player Yuvraj Singh on Thursday, calling him a true fighter on the field. Today, Yuvraj is turning 43. Yuvraj had a very impressive cricket career with outstanding batting, bowling, and fielding, cementing himself into India’s cricketing legacy. Pathan described Yuvraj as both a “fighter” on the field and a “yaaro ka yaar” off it, calling him a “champion.” He wished him a happy birthday with a special message, writing, “Fighter on the field, Yaaro ka yaar off the field, Champion was born many moons ago this day. Wishing the mighty @YUVSTRONG12 a very happy birthday. Chasma todne ke liye.”
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also extended birthday wishes to Yuvraj as well as wishing him for such a wonderful career. The BCCI posted on social media: ‘402 international games, 11,778 international runs and 148 wickets; one victory each in the 2007 ICC World T20 and 2011 ICC World Cup.
Yuvraj Singh was a cricketer who played for India between 2000 and 2017. He contributed immensely across formats, scoring 11,178 runs with 17 hundreds and 71 fifties. He was a prominent member of the Indian teams that triumphed in the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy, the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, and the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.
In addition, Yuvraj was the first Indian to hit six consecutive sixes in an over during the 2007 T20 World Cup against England. He was outstanding during the 2011 World Cup, and he received the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award after scoring 362 runs, which included a century and four half-centuries, and taking 15 wickets.
