Kevin De Bruyne started City’s tremendous comeback – defeated Crystal Palace 5-2|

Manchester City defeated Crystal Palace 5-2 in a thrilling Premier League match, and the main hero of this victory was Kevin De Bruyne. City was already trailing 2-0, but De Bruyne started the comeback by scoring a brilliant free kick goal.
De Bruyne’s magic is still alive
33-year-old De Bruyne scored a free kick in the 33rd minute which hit the post and went into the goal. After this he also assisted in the goals of Omar Marmoush and Mateo Kovacic. This shows that even though he has been troubled by injuries for a few years, his class and vision are still top level. De Bruyne’s assist on Kovacic’s goal was the 119th assist of his Premier League career.
Young stars also shone
James McAtee scored the fourth goal – interestingly, goalkeeper Ederson assisted him. Nico O’Reilly scored the final goal of the match and both players come from City’s academy. It was a rood moment for the club.
Be Bruyne’s last season
Last week De Bruyne announced that this would be his last season with Manchester City. For 10 years he has performed brilliantly for the club, and this performance makes his legacy even stronger.
Place gave an early shock
Crystal Palace took a 2-0 lead early in the match with goals from Eberechi Eze and Chris Richards. City then shifted gears.
Points table update
After the win, City have moved to fourth position, above Chelsea and Newcastle. But they both still have extra matches. Nottingham Forest are still in third position, just two points ahead, and they have a match against Everton. Aston Villa and Arsenal are also in the race for a Champions League spot. Villa will play against Southamton, while Arsenal play against Brentford – in between they also have a Champions League quarterfinal against Real Madrid.
