Kholi – Padikkal showed his guts, Hardik created a blast|

In a tremendous match of IPL 2025, a fierce clash took place between RCB and MI at Wankhede Stadium. The game was changing at every moment, but the level of thrill in the end was next level.
RCB’s fast start – Boult’s first time, Padikkal’s answer
The match started with a bang when Trent Boult took a wicket in the first over – he did so for the 31st time in IPL, but Devdutt Padikkal hit the first ball for boundary. After that RCB did not even think of stopping. The team added 73 runs in 6 overs of powerplay. Virat Kohli showed his different style today – usually he plays anchor, but this time he scored fifty in 29 balls by bowling slog sweep to spinners. Wow brother.
Hardik’s magic in middle overs
Padikkal got out for 37 runs on 22 balls due to Vignesh D Puthur’s spin. After that Hardik Pandya slowed down the game by bowling wide line. Kohli kept hitting big shorts, while Patidar took a calm start – 8 runs on 10 balls. But Patidar increased the pace later – conceded 20 runs in one over of Santner. Then came Hardik’s another blow-out over – he got both Kohli and Livingstone out in it. The score was 144/5 and now only 33 balls were left.
Patidar and Jitesh finished in style
MI’s pace bowler Bumrah was making a comeback after his injury. But RCB thought they would have to hit from the other end. Patidar took 33 runs (in just 12 balls) in Hardik’s over and ruined his figures (4-0-45-2). Jitesh Sharma made it his worst T20 spell by getting Boult out for 24 runs (8 balls) – 4-0-57-2. Bumrah bowled tight (gave only 14 runs in last 2 overs) but by then the damage was done.
Hazelwood Suyash’s magic – MI under pressure
RCB bowlers also did wonders. Hazlewood’s length and Suyash’s unique action put MI in a tight spot. Hazlewood dismissed Rickelton and made Suryakumar struggle – only 8 runs in 13 balls. Suryakumar and Will Jacks made only 41 runs in 6 overs. When SKY got out in the 12th over, MI had to chase a big total in the last 8 overs.
Hardik’s fire mode was on
Tilak Verma took 17 runs in Suyash’s over. But Hardik did not get strike till 7 balls. As soon as he got it – that’s it, the show begins. 2 sixes, 2 fours to Hazlewood in 7 balls; and 2 sixes to Krunal too. Hardik reached 32* in 7 balls, and now needed 71 runs in 33 balls.
Last overs – full thriller mode
There was some gamesmanship too – the opposition tried to break Hardik’s rhythm. But MI did not take the pressure. Tilak created momentum by hitting a six and a four in one over. Bhuv and Hazlewood focused on the yorker, but if they even choked a little then they got the boundary – Hardik’s four, Naman Dhir’s six, Santner’s six on a low full toss. MI needed 19 runs in the last over. Krunal Pandya clutched the game – got Santner and Chahar caught on the boundary. Final figures 4 overs, 45 runs, 4 wickets – Krunal’s best IPL stats.
What a match it was friend! RCB played brilliant batting, but Hardik Pandya’s 42 (15 balls) made the match a thriller. Both the teams fought brilliantly, but in the end Krunal gave RCB the victory.
