Man City regained its lost enthusiasm: Guardiola’s team in FA Cup Semi-final|

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said that his team has regained its lost “hearth and soul”, now they have made it to the FA Cup semi-final for the seventh time in a row by defeating Bournemouth 2-1.
Now Man City will face Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup semi-final. In this victory, Guardiola showed faith in his “legendary” trio- Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Illakay Gundogan, who gave the team an important win.
Guardiola: “We got our passion back”
Guardiola said after the match: “We talked a lot about that league match we lost against Bournemouth. Since then our team was going a bit down. We saw videos of mistakes that were totally against our standards. There is a minimum level that every player has to maintain – respect for the team, showing effort, and passion. Today we got all of that back.”
He also admitted that Man City have given average performances in many matches this season, which were below their usual standard. The team’s morale was low after the league defeat against Bournemouth, but today’s win has injected a new zeal into City.
“Our team’s enthusiasm was low this season” – Guardiola
When he was asked “why was the team’s heart and passion missing earlier?” Guardiola jokingly said:
“I will write the answer to this in my memoirs!”
But then he admitted that he also made some mistakes in the middle of the season which were not corrected in time. Pep said:
“I will blame you for coming first. I should have taken some decisions which I did not take.”
“Losing in this way is also acceptable”
Pep said that he would have no problem even if Bournemouth won, he just wanted to see his team play well. He gave the example of another match which City lost against Nottingham Forest (1-0)
“In that match we did not play like today. Even if we lose, I would still like to play like this.”
Now Guardiola wants Man City to regain its full form by the end of the season and become strong for the new season.
