Marsh, Markram and Pooran’s Teen Tigers destroyed GT’s bowling attack – IPL 2025 mein LSG Dhamaka|

LSG has three foreign lions – Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran. These teens together have handled the top order of LSG, and have made impact match after match. Only on a few occasions Rishabh Pant has accompanied them, otherwise all three have consistently played on the front foot.
GT just one step behind
If we talk about batting average, then LSG’s top 3 are only behind Titans. PBKS’s top 3 have the fastest strike rate, but LSG’s 16 fifties are very close to Titans’ 17. The most important thing is that Pooran Marsh and Markram have become the first overseas trio in IPL history who have together scored 400+ runs in a single season for a team.
Batter | Innings | Runs | Avg | SR | 100s/50s | 4s/6s |
M Marsh | 12 | 560 | 46.67 | 161.84 | 1/5 | 52/32 |
N Pooran | 13 | 511 | 46.45 | 198.83 | 0/5 | 44/40 |
A Markram | 13 | 445 | 34.23 | 148.82 | 0/5 | 38/22 |
LSG has the upper hand against GT
LSG has won only 6 matches so far, but 2 of those wins have come against table toppers GT who have lost only 2 of the remaining 11 matches. Titans have a powerful bowling unit with tall seamers like Prasidh Krishna, Siraj, Rabada, and Ishant Sharma – they have taken only 6 wickets against LSG in 2 matches. And their average of 69.5 and strike rate of 39.5 is the worst against LSG.
Marsh, Markram and Pooran – deadly against both pace and spin
Players like Marsh and Markram are confident against pace – players like Perth and Highveld are great at taking fast bouncy wickets. Marsh is scoring runs at a strike rate of 177 this season on good length or shorter length balls, while Markram’s strike rate is 145. Pooran is also breaking the peace with an average of 41 and a strike rate of 163.

Great improvement against spin too
Pooran is anyway one of the most dangerous batsmen against spin and his strike rate is 264 and average 75. Against Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore he scored 55 runs with 7 sixes in just 20 balls. Against Sai Kishore he came under pressure that the captain did not get his quota completed in the next 4 matches.
Marsh and Markram have also leveled up their game against spin. Marsh who earlier used to play spin at an average of 21 and a strike rate of 105, now plays at an average of 66 and a strike rate of 150+. Markram is also scoring at an average of 52 and a strike rate of 150 against spin.
LSG found a solution to Titans’ plan
GT’s game plan is usually based on the strength of their bowlers. First restrict the opposition, then take out their top 3 matches. But LSG’s foreign teen lions implemented the same game plan. First hit Rashid to gain momentum, and then put pressure on GT’s bowling attack by dismantling the pacers.
