The shots they played were the result of their hard work. But DC’s middle order did not perform well at all. At one point it seemed that the chase would be easy but suddenly 3 back to back run outs and soft dismissals took the match out of their hands.
Fielding changed the match
Hardik said: “Fielding can change the whole game. We were focused, took every chance and converted it. The message was clear, keep fighting until the match is over”

MI made 205/5 while batting first, in which the players made good contribution Tilak Verma 59 runs, Ryan Rickelton 41 runs, Suryakumar Yadav 40 runs and Naman Dhir 38 runs. Hardik said that MI’s batting plan depends on the situations. The player who is in form should take the responsibility of facing more balls.
Axar Patel – ‘It failed, we will look ahead’ vibe
DC captain Axar Patel admitted that the soft dismissals of the middle order and poor fielding proved to be quite costly, he said “We lost by 12 runs in one over Whatever was left – we could have won. We cannot expect anything from the lower order every time. Some wrong shots were taken, but now we should think about the future.” Axar also praised spinner Kuldeep Yadav and said, “Whenever I need a wicket, I go to Kuldeep. He is doing amazing this season.”
