A local photographer, who earlier used to make reels for honeymooners and tourists in Baisaran Meadow, has now become the biggest witness of the massacre that took place on 22 April in Pahalgam. When the terrorists shot and killed 26 people, this photographer was sitting on a tree and recording everything.

His video footage has become very important evidence for the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The identity of the photo has not been disclosed due to security reasons.

From Reels to Real Proof

Baisaran Meadow is a very popular spot for tourists, especially honeymoon couples. The photographer used to do his work by making reels and videos of couples there. But on 22 April, when the shooting started, he saved his life by climbing a tree and made a video of the entire incident from there. This footage will help NIA to identify the terrorists and understand the timeline of the incident.

How did the attack happen?

According to the investigation, the terrorists carried out the attack for 20-22 hours, from the jungles of Kokernag to Baisaran valley. Some terrorists came out from behind the nearby shops and asked people to recite Kalma. Those who could not be caught were shot at point blank range. At this time two more terrorists started firing from near the zipline area, due to which the whole place was in chaos.

NIA action after the attack

After the order of the Ministry of Home Affairs, NIA has officially taken over the investigation. Senior NIA officers are on site and are busy collecting evidence. So far, investigation has revealed that four attackers were involved – three Pakistanis and a local terrorist, Adil Thokar.
