The terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir destroyed the world of many families. Manjunath, who came to Sgoo from Shivamogga in Karnataka, lost his life in this incident. His wife Pallavi, through a Kannada media channel, narrated her heart-touching story to everyone.

“The attacks happened in front of us.. I just couldn’t understand what was happening”

She told, “I, my wife Manjunath and my son Abhijeya had come to Kashmir for a tour. As soon as the attack happened, my husband fell in front of me. I was just sitting near them, couldn’t even react, couldn’t even get scared. I couldn’t understand what had happened.”

Terrorists said: “Go and tell Modi”

Pallavi said, “I and my son were left alive. I and my son said kill me too. Then the terrorist said “No, we won’t die. Go and tell Modi.”

Attack Ka Nazara: Targeted Killing of Hindu Tourists

Pallavi told that the attackers were not in army uniform, and they were targeting Hindu tourists. “There were around 500 tourists. Many were married couples. Mainly they were killing husbands, not wives.

“My husband had gone to get bread”

She told, “My son had not eaten anything since morning, so my husband had gone to get bread for him. Then the sound of bullets came. It seemed as if the army had fired, but people started running. Then, Manjunath was covered in blood due to a bullet on his head. I just sat next to him.

“I want to go back with my husband only”

Pallavi said: “I just want to go back to Shivamogga with my husband’s body. We three came together, we want to go back together too. I request the government to airlift his body.”

Family Back Home: Manjunath’s family in grief

Manjunath’s family has not yet been informed about his death. His mother has been told that he is injured and will return home soon. Manjunath was a realtor and is a manager in Pallavi Bank.
