Saim Ayub’s Record in ODI: A Historic Century in the 2nd ODI Against Zimbabwe

Saim Ayub created history on his maiden century against Zimbabwe on the second day of the ODI in just 53 balls, which is the third-fastest century made for Pakistan. Not only this, but Pakistani batsman achieved a unique ODI cricket milestone that has never been achieved before.

Saim Ayub became the first-ever batsman to score a century in ODI history, where his team’s total score was less than 150. Zimbabwe batted first and scored 145 runs. Pakistan chased the target in just 18.2 overs, scoring 148 runs and thus taking the match by 10 wickets. Ayub played an unbeaten knock of 113 runs off 62 balls, which included 17 fours and 3 sixes. Except him, Abdullah Shafique also scored 32 runs.
