Pakistan Cricketer's Hilarious "Temple Bell" Rant as Team Hits Rock Bottom

It has been 1,331 days since Pakistan last celebrated a Test match victory. The last win occurred back in February 2021 when they defeated South Africa at home in Rawalpindi under Babar Azam’s captaincy. On Friday, Pakistan faced another setback, losing to England by an innings and 47 runs in Multan, marking their tenth consecutive Test without a win. In response to this latest embarrassment, veteran batter Ahmed Shehzad expressed his frustrations with the Shan Masood-led team.

During his analysis on his YouTube channel, Shehzad remarked that each day brings a new low for the Pakistan cricket team, admitting that they are currently capable of losing to any opponent.

“Please, fear God. Anyone can come and take you down like a temple bell. First, it was Bangladesh, and you made a shameful history by losing to them for the first time. You got whitewashed. Now, against England, you’ve put on another disgraceful performance,” Shehzad stated on his channel.

He also criticized the players’ character, claiming they are not doing enough to improve their performance.

“There is no winning mentality in this team. The pitch might have been flat, but no one seemed to put in any effort. You try to sledge sometimes, bowl bouncers, but everyone looked lost. The bowlers’ pace has dropped to 125-130 km/h,” he added.

Having last played for Pakistan in 2019, Shehzad accused the current players of lacking “accountability.”

“These players don’t feel accountable. They know their positions in the team are secure. The PCB isn’t willing to give chances to younger players, and the previous management did the same,” Shehzad explained.

For the record, Pakistan is the first team in Test cricket history to lose by an innings despite scoring over 550 runs in their first innings.

As Pakistan’s losing streak extends to six straight defeats under Masood’s captaincy, they will aim to rebound in the second Test, which begins on Tuesday in Multan.
