PSEB Class 8th Result 2025: 97.30 Students Pass, Girls shine Brighter|

Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has declared the result of Class 8th 2024-25 session on 4 April 2025 (Friday). This year a total of 2,90,471 students took the exam in 10,471 schools, out of which 2,82,627 passed. Overall pass percentage was 97.30%.
Who are the top 3 students?
1 Puneet Verma (Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Hoshiarpur) – 100% marks
2 Navjot Kaur (Sant Mohan Das Memorial Sr.Sec. School, Faridkot) – 100% marks
3 Navjot Kaur (Guru Nanak Public Sr. Sec. School, Amritsar) – 99.83% marks
Girls’ pass percentage: 98.9%
Boys’ pass percentage: 96.49%
4 children from Mohali made it to the merit list
Only 4 students made it to the merit list. Top scorer was Samriti Verma (Karkaur Govt School, Dera Bassi) who was ranked 43rd with 99.18% marks.

What do PSEB Chairman and Education Minister say?
Chairman Amarpal Singh said that this time the exams were conducted in a more transparent manner. Efforts are being made to improve the paper quality and curriculum as well. Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains congratulated all the students for their hard work and encouraged them to continue working hard in the same way in future as well.

When will the supplementary exams be held?
For students who could not pass, supplementary exams will be held in June 2025.
