Rishabh Pant and Litton Das Clash During Chennai Test |
On Day 1 of the 1st Test in Chennai, Indian player Rishabh Pant and Bangladesh’s Litton Das had a heated argument. The incident occurred during the 15th over of India’s innings when Taskin Ahmed was bowling to Yashasvi Jaiswal. Taskin’s delivery was defended by Jaiswal, and Pant tried to run but was sent back by Jaiswal. The ball then deflected off Pant’s pads and went towards mid-on, allowing Pant and Jaiswal to take an extra run.
Litton Das was upset about the run being taken after the ball hit Pant’s pads and confronted Pant. The two exchanged some words before Litton returned to his position behind the stumps.
At lunch on the first day of the Test match between India and Bangladesh, India was at 88 for 3. Yashasvi Jaiswal was batting with 37 runs, and Rishabh Pant was not out at 33. Bangladesh’s Hasan Mahmud took all three wickets, dismissing Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli during the first session. India was put to bat first on a lively pitch at Chepauk.
