On 9 March, Sunday, India’s skipper Rohit Sharma won the Champions Trophy 2025 title for his team, and this was his second ICC trophy under his captaincy. Rohit was made the full-time captain of India in 2022, and after that he led the team to many finals, such as:

2019: Beat CSK by one run in the final.
2020: Won the 56th IPL title by defeating Delhi Capitals in the final.

Champions League T20 (CLT20) 2013:
After winning the IPL, Rohit also won the Champions League T20 title for Mumbai, in which Rajasthan Royals were defeated in the final.

In the absence of Virat Kohli, Rohit won the Nidahas Trophy for India. In the final, Bangladesh was defeated in a last ball thriller. In this match, Rohit scored 56 runs and completed 7000 runs in T20 cricket.
Asia Cup – 2018 and 2023:
2018: Defeated Bangladesh by 3 wickets in the final in Dubai.
2023: Won the Asia Cup by giving a big defeat to Sri Lanka in the final, which was a morale boosting win for the team before the World Cup.
T20 World Cup – 2024:
After 2013, India’s drought of ICC trophy ended when Rohit’s team defeated South Africa in the final in a last over thriller. This was India’s second T20 World Cup title after 2007. After this win, Rohit announced his retirement from T20I cricket, along with Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja also retired.
