Samsung One UI 7 update: With new design and AI features!|

Samsung announced on Tuesday that its most awaited software update, One UI 7, will start rolling out from April 7. The update brings a redesigned interface and Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered features. Based on Android 15, the update will first be available on the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6, followed by other Samsung devices.
New Design and Customisation Features
One UI 7 comes with a simplified home screen and reworked widgets to improve the user experience. The lock screen has also been redesigned so that users can personalise their phones even more.
There is a new feature Now Bar, which gives real-time updates on the lock screen. Users can see the progress during a workout or the music playing on the Galaxy Buds without unlocking the phone.
AI-Powered Features
This update brings AI-powered tools that will make tasks easier and increase productivity.
AI Select: This feature allows users to better interact with on-screen content. For example, while watching a video, swipe the Edge Panel and choose ‘AI select’, and save clips as GIFs.
Writing Assist: This feature offers automatic text formatting and summarization.
Drawing Assist: This allows users to create digital sketches by combining text prompts and images.
Audio Eraser: This feature helps in removing unwanted sounds from videos.
Sumsung has also integrated Google Gemini better in One UI 7. Now users can give voice commands, like “find pet-friendly restaurants” or “my eyes are tired” and search for phrases in the settings menu. This will give suggestions like adjusting brightness or enabling Eye Comfort Shield.

Device Availability
The One UI 7 update will first come to the Galaxy S24 series and the latest foldable models. After that, this update will reach older devices like Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Tab S10 series, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
The rollout will continue over the next few weeks, as the latest software enhancements will become available on Samsung smartphones and tablets.
