Pakistan’s middle-order batter, Saud Shakeel, scored a crucial hundred to help the team recover from a poor start. In his first match as vice-captain of the Test team, Shakeel reached a brilliant century in 195 balls, helping Pakistan take control on Day 2 of the first Test.
Starting Day 2 with 57 runs after a rain-affected first day in Rawalpindi, Shakeel partnered with Mohammad Rizwan to build a strong innings.
