Sheikh Hasina will return to become the PM of Bangladesh: US Awami League Leader|

US Awami League Vice President Dr. Rabbi Alam has said that Sheikh Hasina will return to become the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. He has appealed to the Bangladesh Advisor to go back to the place from where she came. Alam, who is close to ousted PM Sheikh Hasina, has thanked India for giving shelter to Hasina.
Sheikh Hasina’s return
Dr. Rabbi Alam said, “We want to tell the Bangladesh Advisor to step down and go back to the place from where she came… Sheikh Hasina will return as the Prime Minister. The young generation has made a mistake, but it is not their fault, they have been manipulated.”
On 5 August, after a student-led movement, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was removed. More than 600 people died in the protests and clashes. The 77-year old leader fled to India, and an interim government was formed under the leadership of Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus.
Dr. Rabbi’s concern on Bangladesh’s current situation
Alam has expressed deep concerns about the current turmoil in Bangladesh. He said, “Bangladesh is being attacked, and this should be addressed to the international community.
Political uprising is fine, but what is happening in Bangladesh is a terrorist uprising. Many of our leaders are taking shelter in India, and we are very grateful to the Indian government for helping us.”
He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing safe travel passage to Sheikh Hasina.

Sheikh Hasina’s promise: Justice will be given
Sheikh Hasina slammed Muhammad Yunus’ interim government and said that she will return and will ensure that the families of those killed in the student protests of July-August get justice.
She said, “I will help every victim’s family and ensure that their killers are brought to justice in Bangladesh. I will come back. Maybe that is why Allah has kept me alive.”
Sheikh Hasina has been living in India since August 2024, when she fled from Bangladesh, where the Awami League ruled for 16 years.
