Ahmedabad : KL Shrijith sensational unbeaten 150 of 101 balls eclipsed Shreyas Iyenger’s fiery 114 as Karnataka secured a surprising seven-wicket triumph. Mumbai made a gargantuan 382/4 in 50 overs, powered by Iyer’s aggressive 55-ball innings and half-centuries from Ayush Mhatre, Hardik Tamore, and Shivam Dube. However, Shrijith, who was bought by Mumbai Indians for ₹30 lakh in the IPL auction just recently, smashed 20 fours and four sixes to power Karnataka to 383/3 in just 46.2 overs. He received valuable support from KV Aneesh, Praveen Dubey, and captain Mayank Agarwal. —

Virat and Utkarsh Shine for Jharkhand

Explosive left-hander Utkarsh Singh and centurion Virat Singh starred in Jharkhand’s convincing seven-wicket victory over Assam. Chasing 257/9, the duo, both groomed under the guidance of former India skipper MS Dhoni, stitched together a 141-run stand for the third wicket in just 25 overs, ensuring a strong start to their campaign.

Baroda Triumphs Despite Hardik’s Absence

Baroda overcame the absence of India all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who was absent during the league stage due to personal reasons, to register a thumping 92-run win against Tripura. Half-centuries by Shivalik Sharma and Vishnu Solanki, along with an outstanding bowling performance by Mahesh Pithiya, sealed the deal.

Porel and Mukesh Lead Bengal to Victory

Young wicketkeeper-batter Abhishek Porel smashed a brilliant 170, while pacer Mukesh Kumar claimed four wickets to guide Bengal to a six-wicket win over Delhi. Chasing 272, Bengal reached the target comfortably in 41.3 overs.

Patidar and Avesh Shine for Madhya Pradesh

Avesh Khan, a pacer for Madhya Pradesh, snatched three wickets to limit Bihar at 196. Opener Harsh Gawali was in charge with 83, while skipper Rajat Patidar amassed 55 not out to get MP to a six-wicket victory over Bihar within just 25.1 overs.
