Sunak Couple Celebration on RCB’s Victory – Ee Saala Cup Namdu|
Former UK PM Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty were seen in the IPL 2025 Final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on 3 June 2025. This couple was clearly supporting RCB, which won the IPL title by defeating PBKS by 6 runs.
Akshata shared some special glimpses of that night on her Insta handle. In the first photo, she is seen posing on the field with her husband Rishi. Akshata wore a red ankle length dress. Which she paired with matching ballerina shoes. Rishi Sunak looked very smart in a navy blue suit.
After that they also shared some videos and pictures in which the couple was seen cheering for RCB – as Bengaluru is Akshata’s home city in India. In a highly highlighted photo, Akshata and Rishi are seen posing with RCB star player Virat Kohli and his wife Ansuhka Sharma. In the caption Akshata wrote, “What a night it was. What a match. What a moment it was for Bengaluru. Watching RCB make history while staying in Ahmedabad was an unforgettable experience.
He further wrote: “From the electric energy of the stadium to the celebrations resonating in Bengaluru, this victory is very special for all of us who had been waiting for it for so many years and believing in it. Proud of this brilliant team and our city Bengaluru. Ee saala cup Namdu!”.
And Rishi Sunak also shared some pictures on his Instagram. In the first image, he is taking a selfie in which RCB team is seen with IPL trophy in the background. And in other images, he is seen hugging Virat Kohli, meeting AB de Villers, chatting with Ravi Shastri, and posing with Chris Gayle, Phil Salt, Liam Livingstone and Andy Flower. His caption was: “What a night, Ee saala cup namdu.”
RCB created history by winning the trophy for the first time after IPL 2008. Batting first, they scored 190/9 and after bowling brilliantly, restricted Punjab Kings to only 184/7 and won the match by 6 runs. This victory was an emotional and proud moment for RCB – a happy ending to their 18-year wait.
