The Diplomat Movie Review: john Abraham aur Sadia Khateeb ki Shandaar Performance|
The Diplomat ek aisi film hai jo Gandhi ke ek famous quote se shuru hoti hai: “Agar mujhe vishwas hai ki main kar sakta hoon, to main zaroor uski capacity haasil kar lunga, chahe shuruat main nab hi ho. “Yeh film dekhne ka experience bhi kuch aisa hi hai. Director Shivam Nair ki yeh drama film John Abraham ko JP Singh (India’s Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan) aur Sadia Khateeb ko Uzma Ahmed (ek Indian woman jo Pakistan main Indian embassy Mein phansi hui hai) ke roop mein dikhata hai.
Film shuruat main thodi slow hai, lekin Nair ki story aur cast par bharosa dikhta hai, aur yeh film ek nail biting climax tak le jati hai. Real life events par based films banana main risk hota hai, kyunki agar kuch galat ho gaya, to wapas mudna mushkil hai. Aur yeh risk aur bhi badh jata hai jab aap ek aise character ko play kar rahe hote hain jo apne field main utmost respect rakhta ho.

Film ki story Uzma Ahmed par based hai, jo ek fake marriage ke bahane Pakistan mein phans gayi aur baad main har tarah ke assault ka shikar hui. Yeh ek aisi kahaani hai jo suni aur dikhai jaani chahiye.
John Abraham ka performance as JP Singh outstanding hai. Unhone apne character ko itni finesse ke saath play kiya hai ki aap unki acting ke deewane ho jayenge. Unka “less is more” approach kaam karta hai, aur who ek gaze ya pause se bhi harogiri dikha dete hain.
Sadia Khateeb ek revelation hain. Unhone Uzma ka role itni vulnerability ke saath nibhaya hai ki kuch scenes jo paper par tough lagte hain, who screen par effortless lagte hain. Unki eyes se emotions dikhana aur theatrical na hona unhe future mein bahut aage le jayega.
Jagjeet Sandhu (as Tariq), Revathi (aas Sushma Swaraj), Kumud Mishra aur Sharib Hashmi Jaise supporting cast ne bhi apne roles ko excellent tarike se portray kiya hai.

JP Singh ke son aur wife ka track incomplete lagta hai.
Uzma ke flashbacks aur unki ordeal ko better edit kiya ja sakta tha.
