Virat Kohli Breaks Another Major Record of Sachin Tendulkar, Creates History with a Mountain of Runs
New Delhi: Indian cricket team’s star batsman Virat Kohli has broken another record of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. In the second and final match of the two-Test series against Bangladesh, King Kohli became the fastest player to reach 27,000 international runs. He achieved this milestone during the first innings of the Kanpur Test, where he scored 47 runs before being dismissed.
Former Indian captain Virat Kohli has now become the fourth cricketer in international cricket history to score 27,000 runs. With this, Kohli joins the ranks of Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, and Kumar Sangakkara as the only players to reach this milestone. Kohli surpassed Sachin Tendulkar’s record to become the fastest to score 27,000 runs.

Kohli took 594 innings to reach this mark, while Tendulkar achieved it in 623 innings in 2007. Sri Lanka’s Sangakkara reached the milestone in his 648th innings in 2015, and Ponting did it in his 650th innings for Australia.
