Will PM Modi retire in September? Devendra Fadnavis' sharp answer!|

New Delhi: Is Prime Minister Narendra Modi going to retire in September 2025? Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis strongly answered this question – “Absolutely not!”

While talking to the media in Nagpur, Fadnavis said, “We do not need to look for his successor. Modi ji is our leader and will remain so in future too!”

This answer came on the big claim of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, in which he said that PM Modi can retire after his 75th anniversary!

Where did the talk of Modi’s retirement come from?

Sanjay Raut says that according to a certain rule within the BJP, no person above the age of 75 can hold ministerial posts. PM Modi will turn 75 on September 17, so there is talk of his retirement.

But the BJP has called this “rule” a rumour. 80-year-old leader from Bihar, Jeta Jitan Ram Manjhi, is still a Union Cabinet Minister!

The IS speculation gained more momentum when PM Modi visited the RSS headquarters in Nagpur.

Sanjay Raut’s big claim: “Modi’s successor will be from Maharashtra!”

Raut said, “PM Modi had probably gone to RSS headquarters to write his retirement application!” He also claimed that the new BJP leader after Modi will be from Maharashtra, and this decision will be taken by RSS.

“Sangh family wants to bring a new leader. Modi’s time is now over,” Sanjay Raut said.

Fadnavis’s reply: “I will remain PM even in 2029!”

Devendra Fadnavis called Raut’s claim completely wrong. He said, “We will see Modi as PM even in 2029!”

He also made a comment on Raut’s statements and said, “In our culture, when the father is alive, there is no talk of successor. This is the “Mughal culture” which we do not accept!”

Will Modi really retire? Or is it just a political discussion?

Modi ji has not yet given any statement on this. But BJP leaders are calling his retirement rumors fake.

What do you think? Will Modi continue to be the PM or can BJP bring in a new leader?
