Young star Shaik Rasheed shines in IPL debut – CSK got a new hero|
In an important match of IPL 2025, Shaik Rasheed made his debut and performed well in the very first match. Shaik is only 20 years old. He showed on Sunday while playing against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) that who can become a future star. He started opening for CSK along with Rachin Ravindra.
Debut But Dhamaka Style
Shaik Rasheed did not even feel that this is his first IPL match. He targeted Avesh Khan in the second over and added 3 consecutive fours. And in the next over, Shardul was also not spared and he hit 3 fours on him.
How did the wicket go?
Avesh Khan bowled a short ball which was a bit wide. Rasheed tried to play a pull shot on that ball, but the ball went up and Nicholas Pooran took an easy catch. He scored 27 runs in 19 balls, which included 6 fours.
Who came in the playing XI, who went?
Rasheed replaced Devan Conway and Jamie Overton also came in the team in place of R Ashwin. CSK missed the presence of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the first match when they suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of KKR. Gaikwad is out of the team this season due to an elbow fracture and MS Dhoni has returned to captaincy.
Who is Shaik Rasheed?
Rasheek hails from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. He has been the vice-captain of India’s U-19 World Cup 2022 winning team. He had signed a contract with CSK in 2023 and now he has finally made his debut.
